About the Author
Hendrik Santo, MScEE, is a power management semiconductor design architect based in the Silicon Valley California. He is a 40 year researcher of Wing Chun Kuen, and more than 20 years research in the Six Healing Sounds. He is also a grand student of Grandmaster Ma Li Tang of the Six Healing Sounds. He was a student of the Chan Patriarch, the late Venerable Master Hsuan Hua.

Must Have for All Wing Chun Practitioners

This is a hidden gem. The information in this book contains extremely valuable information for the Wing Chun practitioner. Hendrik continues his work from the Basic Wing Chun Kuen Art and Science and applies all these concepts to his new book Beginning Wing Chun Kuen. He defines Wing Chun and explains how techniques, footwork, flexible physical body, and dummy all support the technology of Wing Chun Kuen. With the information in this book, one can enhance his/her own practice and at the same time recognize what is missing in one's own or others practice. He decodes the ancient Chinese wisdom, so that anyone can benefit from reading and applying the concepts in this book.

Don't do it!!! If you spend a ...

Don't do it!!! If you spend a few minutes researching this subject, you will find most of this to be a repackaging, using modern scientific terms. This book is more or less a cash grab and run, $57.48+ for a 100 page booklet. They were asking $68.00 for the this book. Feeling the guilt, they change the price.

This is not Kung Fu for Dummies

I have been following Hendrik Santos work for a couple of years and was very happy to see him release this book. Especially since it was edited by Sifu Robert Chu who possesses very accurate communication regarding Kung FU teaching. What I like about this book (and his previous book) is that it lays out in easily understood language and diagrams the heart of his research into Wing Chun Kung Fu. It is a simple, spare and clearly enunciated textbook for beginners in Wing Chun Kuen. Some people will argue about the price or the quality of the illustrations, the lack of flashy images etc but this is not a marketing pamphlet for a Kung Fu lineage. It is condensed and valuable knowledge and should be considered a text book for educational purposes rather than a Kung Fu overview. A word of advice is to not buy this if you want your existing opinions about WC reinforced, because it probably won't.
